学校是非常值得肯定的,只是在我和信任校长交谈时,发现近些年香港学生成为了主角,学校似乎更加青睐香港学生,对于大陆学生而言,在入学上明显时吃亏的。
阿丁莱学院位于伦敦和布赖顿之间西萨塞克斯郡的美丽乡村,学校至今保留了悠久的天主教传统。该校拥有幼儿园、小学和中学部,学校在Sixth Form阶段同时提供A-Level和IB课程。阿丁莱学院提供80多种体育活动,如马术、帆船等,学校并未强制要求学生参加某项运动,但学生总能从众多项目中找到自己感兴趣的。

About the school
Ardingly College is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged between 2 and 18. The college consists of three sections: the senior school is a boarding and day school for pupils aged 13 to 18; the preparatory school is for pupils aged from 7 to 13 and offers boarding through the week. The pre-prep is for pupils from 2 to 7 years. The three schools share a 230-acre site near Haywards Heath in West Sussex. Boarders are accommodated in six houses on the site.

Founded in 1858 by Canon Nathaniel Woodard, it is part of the Woodard Corporation of schools. A board of govemors, who are the directors and charitable trustees of the company, administer the school. The head of collge has overall responsibility for all three sections of the school.

During the period March to August 2020, the prep school and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting remained open only for children of key workers.

No boarders remained on site.

During this period of closure the school provided remote lea rming materials for all pupils.

In the interests of infection control during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, inspection evidence was gathered partly remotely and partly on-site to reduce contact within the school setting.

In line with the direction given by the Department for Education (DfE) at the time, no evaluation has been made of the nature or effectiveness of any provision made during the period March to August 2020, induding its impact on pupils' learning, achievement or personal development. Any concerns relating to pupils' welfare during this period which directly relate to measures implemented by the school have been considered.

During the lockdown period of January to March 2021, all pupils other than the children of keyworkers or vulnerable pupils received remote learning provision at home, or with guardians in the case of overseas boarders.

In 2020 public examinations were not held. For pupils who would have been expected to take these examinations, centre-assessed grades were awarded.

Since 2020, EYFS profiles have not been extemally moderated.

The aim of the College is to provide a 21st century education by being a forward-thinking and high - achieving co-educational school with a strong academic focus, excellent student support and a global outlook.

We also ensure that our pupils enjoy a great deal of choice to enable them to succeed in the classroom and in the activities they pursue in their wider school life.

An excellent education also requires us to look beyond the school gates, and engage with the world around us. Whether they live five minutes down the road or come from the other side of the world, every pupil must leave school with a positive engagement and understanding of the world around them. This is what World Ready aims to achieve.

Finally, confidence. That intangible quality that is essential for personal fulfilment. Confidence comes from having the support and understanding of the community in which you live. Above everything else, we aim to understand every child, to support them through the opportunities and challenges of growing up, and to help them to grow in understanding, respect and enjoyment of the people and the world around them.
