Founded in 1878, Ipswich High School has a longstanding reputation for offering an exceptional education and experience to pupils as a leading private school in Suffolk. While tradition remains important to us, we are proud to be a forward-thinking school and take an innovative and personalised approach to our curriculum and enrichment offer.
The Woolverstone Campus
Our beautiful 87-acre campus is located in Woolverstone, just outside of Ipswich. The spacious site has superb facilities, including a theatre, ICT suites, a 25m competition swimming pool, Sixth Form suite, cookery rooms, dedicated music rooms and floodlit AstroTurf pitches. We capitalise on our outstanding natural surroundings via our stimulating Forest and Beach School in the Prep School, offering a unique, proactive learning experience in an ever-changing environment.
Our first boarding house, The Dairy opened in September 2019 enabling us to educate pupils from further afield. This brand new boarding house, in a beautifully refurbished Grade II listed property, is an outstanding addition to our school. Our second boarding facility, The Barns, opened in January 2021 and The Annex is due for completion in 2021.
