中英桥观点

建校逾440年的St Edmund's College 位于伦敦及剑桥之间的城市 Ware，连接主要铁路及陆路交通。占地400英亩，是英国最古老的天主教学校，校内教堂更是伦敦大笨钟的设计师的另一杰作。设有小学部 St. Hugh's School 及中学部 St. Edmund's College。提供音乐、美术及运动奖学金，最高可获50%学费减免。
教学方面，小班教学令老师可以跟进每个学生的学习进度，从而适当调整教学流程，帮助能力各异的学生达到目标。同时，St Edmund's College 推行学长制，由学长照顾新生，帮助他们适应校园生活。历年来，学生在公开考试表现不俗，许多学生在不同比赛中，荣获国际学术奖章。2015的高考成绩中取得A*-B的学生有69%，成绩不俗。会考取得A*/A有34%。不少学生升读英国心仪大学，包括剑桥、Bath、Bristol、Exeter、Warwick、University College London及Imperial College等大学。
St Edmund's College教学及运动设施齐备，全天候体育馆、室内恒温游泳池和预科学习中心应有尽有。课余时间，学生随喜好参加各色各样的体艺活动，包括园艺、潜水和野外定向等。课外活动方面，表演艺术、爱丁堡奖励计划及军事训练课程皆是重要环节，深受同学欢迎。
住宿方面，St Edmund's College有五座宿舍，均由舍监负责及照顾学生的日常起居生活，并设有单人及双人房间。导师会跟进每位寄宿生的学习进度及个人成长，并定时与家长联络。宿舍内有无线网络覆盖。周末活动多姿多采，寄宿生活非常充实。

院校概述

St Edmund's College is a continuation on English soil of the English College that was founded by William Cardinal Allen at Douai in Flanders, France in 1568. Originally intended as a seminary to prepare priests to work in England to keep Catholicism alive, it soon also became a boys' school for Catholics, who were debarred from running such institutions in England.[1] Many of its students, both priests and laymen, returned to England to be put to death under the anti-Catholic laws. The college includes amongst its former alumni 20 canonised and 138 beatified martyrs.

Welcome to a very special place. No website can convey the richness of the education we offer, nor the atmosphere which makes St Edmund’s exceptional, but I can at least sow a seed in the hope that you will want to visit in person.

Our mission, stretching back to 1568, has always been to send young people into the world who will, whether by mighty deeds or by quiet leadership, be a force for good. There could be no greater epitaph for an Edmundian but that throughout their life they made the world around them a little better, and the people around them a little happier.

We want our pupils to be excellent but never arrogant; to be ambitious but never selfish; to be robust but never uncaring; to show conviction but never intolerance. All this in a school which genuinely believes in the education of the whole person, mind, body and spirit; a school whose remarkable history and Catholic heritage almost seep from the walls, but where tradition is never allowed to become oppressive.
